I suspect but have no proof that my James Buckbee (born Sept. 1831 NY) is related to your Josiah Buckbee/Bugbee family. There is a Ezra Bugbee/Buckbee that is buried at Sand Lake Union Cemetery that may also be related to this family.I have been told that Josiah was born 1754 in Dutchess County and had a 1/2 brother Richard who spelt his name Buckbee.Josiah was the son of Israel and Bethsheba Bugbee. From the Rensselaer co., NY Military 1835 Pension Roll -- he is listed as Bugbee, Josiah, Private, annual allowance $96.00. Sums received $1427.43;Service - New York Line; When placed on pension roll - Sept. 28, 1818,Commencement of Pension April 22, 1818, age 79.If you have any additional information on this family, I would appreciate it.My e-mail is [email protected] you!
