In October 1845, at Station Camp Mt. Hood, Mr. and Mrs. William Buffum accompanied Mrs. Arthur Thompson and Joel Palmer down the blazes of the trail which became the Barlow Road. Miriam Robinson-Thompson-Tuller published her recollections of her Oregon Trail experiences in the Oregon Pioneer Association Transactions and that report is found in: http://www.seasidemuseum.org/clatsop_plains.cfm
