John Buffington, Born 1813. Early Settler of the "Sufferers Land"

I have posted a review of "History of the Fire-Lands," published in 1879 by WW Williams on the "Firelands History Website": http://firelands.wordpress.com.
Included in this book is a biography of John Buffington, who came to the Firelands of Northwest Ohio in 1836 where he was later a Justice of the Peace.
The Firelands, or Sufferers' Land, was set aside for "Sufferers" in Connecticut whose homes were burned by the British during the American Revolution. It includes present day Huron, Erie, Ottawa, and Ashland Counties in Ohio.
My post includes a short synopsis of "History of the Fire-Lands" and the Table of Contents with links to the book's histories, biographies and illustrations of the pioneers and their families.
I invite you to check out this interesting biography of John Buffington and other pioneers of the Firelands.
