Hello, Paul, I can tell you this much. Frances Vane who
married Edward Kekewich of Cornwall, born in 1636, was
the daughter of either, Sir Henry Sr. or his son, Sir
Henry Jr., and she died in 1683 in Shipborne, Kent.
John Grubb's wife was Frances Vane. I don't know if she
was the daughter of Sir Henry Vane (1613-1662) or his
son, Henry. I sent in my application to Magna Charta
Dames through John Grubb's wife, Frances Vane, born in
Kent, England, and gave my complete and proven genealogy
through them. She was accepted by Magna Charta Dames
as the daughter of Sir Henry Vane Jr. I also sent in
my application to The Order of the Crown of Charlemayne,
and my application was approved through John Grubb's
wife, Frances Vane. That is all I can tell you. I
don't know all the children of Henry Sr. or Henry Jr.
I did not include Henry III on my applications.
John Grubb is my Colonial Dames 17th Century ancestor.
He is also of royal descent with a more illustrious
genealogy than his wife, Frances Vane. His genealogy
goes through the Plantagenets of England through Henry
Grubb of North Mimms, Hertfordshire, the Denmark
royalty and the Dukes of Brunswick, Germany.
John Grubb and Henry Grubb, the Quaker who came on the
Kent in August 1677 from Gravesend, London, were 3rd
cousins. Another cousin, Gabriel Grubb, came with them
but returned to England. Then Thomas Grubb came to N.J.
in 1689 and nothing more is known about him.I descend
through John and Frances' daughter, Charity, who married
Richard Beeson, son of Edward Beeson, born at Beeston
Castle, Lancastershire, whose father, Isaac Beeson, was
the stepfather of William Penn (from a handwritten letter
by William Penn that is now in the Library Archives at
the University of Nebraska.)
Best Wishes,
Evelyn Rowland
