Catharine Wentz Buffington and husband Arthur J. Buffington were noted as living in Glen Elder, KS in 1885. 1900 Federal Census, Arthur J., 52, born April 1848 IL, Catharine, age 37, born June 1862 PA, and daughter Myrtle M. Buffington, age 13, born Oct 1886 KS, were living in Oswego, Labette Co., KS. By 1910, Catharine and Arthur would move to Otis, Hamilton Co., NE, residing with her brother John Conrad Wentz and sister Mary Wentz Rupke Bauer Thurs, also a member of the household.
John Conrad Wentz family, along with his sister Catharine Wentz Buffington and husband Arthur Buffington, and sister Mary Wentz Rupke Bauer Thurs and son Daniel Thurs were residing in Otis, Hamilton Co., NE, in the 1910 Federal Census. John Conrad Wentz family would move back to KS by 1915.
