My mother was born Sylvia Margaret Budden in Montreal, 1933. She was given up for adoption almost immediately and her name was changed to Shirley Margaret Neil. Her natural mother was Ethel Cator, now deceased. Her adopted parents where Henry Stuart and Kate (Bradley) Neil of Trois Rivieres, Quebec, where my mother grew up.
Does this ring a bell with anyone. I am researching my family history and this has become a major stumbling block.
