We are searching in the same area. My great grandfather born about 1850 -1860? was Harry Budd. He was from the Boxgrove area of Chichester Sussex. He had a brother not sure of his name. I have found graves of other Budds in Boxgrove churchyard. I wonder if your grandfather is related, possibly a brother or cousin. Harry Budd married Phobe Shippam and they had four children Nance, Bess, Mabel and Tom. Harry Budd worked on the Goodwood Estate as a shepard. Can you link in with this info?
