Hi Craig,
In the 1800's the surviving Parish records of the "Barbados" were copied. Marriages 1643 - 1800 is 2 volumes, Baptisms 1637-1800, Wills and Administrations 1681-1725. There are thousands of people mentioned in those records. There were quite a few parishes. The Barbados were settled by the British in 1627. There was a flow of settlers from Barbados to virtually every port along the Atlantic seaboard. From what I could find through old maps, the parish where a John Budd married a Mary Gesby was in Jamaica.
Most genealogical libraries have on their shelves the "Barbados Records" by Jane McCree Sanders.
