Thomas Budd Jobes

I am trying to find the origin of Thomas Budd Jobes, born November 1815, died July 1899 (or 1898.) Jobes married Adelaide Haines Shinn and spent most of his life in New Egypt, Ocean County, New Jersey (the area, on the border of Burlington, Monmouth, and Ocean counties, was in all three of them at one time or another.)

Presumably Thomas Budd Jobes was from the immediate area (Burlington, Pemberton, etc.) and presumably his middle name was his mother's maiden name. All conjecture, of course. I've been unable to find any record of his birth, or of any marriage in the relevant time period (about 1800-1815) between a male Jobes and a female Budd. I'm hoping someone on this forum may recognize the name and give me a much needed hint!

Thanks!
