It is such a coincidence that Joseph Lyon sold all his property in CT. in 1722 - the year Joseph Budd died!It would seem he moved right over to Rye!
LYON, THOMAS, Feb. 13, 1676, granted a parcel of land lying along the Byram River.
1722, bought of Joseph LYON all his right, title, and interest in the estate of Samuel LYON, deceased.
From Colonial Ct. Records:
JOHN LYONS mentioned
"... I doe give John Budd by these presents all my estate in cattell and debts to be freely his that he may dispose of all for the good of myselfe and wife that wee may be freed from trouble and after or deceass too discharg or will and to have all or debts cattell and to pay all legases and debts and that John Ogden Juddey his wife and joseph horton and Joan his wife john Horton joseph Horton and JOHN BUDD AND HIS SON JOHN BUDD Mary Niccols alias Mary Young, JOHN LYONS these are to enjoy their lotts as firm as if no such writeing had never bee and the true intent of this writing si that we may have our thrity pownds a year truely payd and the Benefitt of or cattell while we live and after to be John Budds my sons to him and his heires for ever to which I have sett my hand and seale this 15 of October one Thousand six Hundred sixty nine
Witness: Joseph Horton John Budd and a seale
Richard P. Bolards his marke".". "May 13 1673 entry

Who was John Lyons mentioned in that document? Ralph Lines was called a nephew of John Budd in New Haven records. Ralph's wife was an Alice as near as I can find. John Budd made a deed of gift to a Samuel Lines in Greenwich or Stamford before 1671. It would appear these 2 Lyon Or Lyons ended up in Westchester Co, NY and Fairfield Co., CT
