To Beverly Bucklin and also to Ken Buckland:
It is likely that many of the present day Bucklins descend from William Buckland of Rehoboth, MA who married Mary Bosworth. They had a son Joseph Buckland/Bucklin. This goes back to the early 1600s. William and Mary came from England. I'm pretty sure that I've read where their son Joseph had descendants who were in Maine.
My own line goes back to William Buckland who died May 13, 1691 in the Windsor, CT area. I've have seen speculations where this William is believed to have also been a son of the above said William and Mary, but I can't find anything concrete to support this.
Although not active lately, I've spent years tracing the Buckland genealogies.
