Only Brad the society has in their records, an artist is noted in society records as follows:All that is in the data base of the Jos Bucklin Soc in Nov 2000 is that the National Portrait Gallery lists him as painting Polly Lawton, b. 1761, d. 1861?) in oil and that it was given in 1876 by George Lawton to the Redwood Library & Athenaeum. The Smithsonian Institution Research Inventories of American Paining show Bucklin as "Bradley A." Bucklin and 4 paintings, to wit: Title: Polly Lawton, owned by the Redwood Library and Athenaeum, Newport, RI Title: Richard Heyworth (1798-1859) owned by Richard Heyworth Barber of Peru, NY Title: John Bucklin, Mrs. (Philanda Barnes, b. 1794) owner restricted Title: Strayberries Spilling from Basket, owned by Hermann W Behme of Rowayton, Connecticut If you want to support the Bucklin Society in its work please join it.
