Jepithah Hopkins , My g,great grandfather married Anna ( born Jan.3,1762), dau. of Squire Bucklin. Esquire Bucklin was married to Hope Ballou, decendant of Maturin Ballou.
Squire and Hope's children were Rev, Benjamin b. Apr. 17,1754, Esquire Jr.,b. Oct.3,1756, Stephen, B. Jul.5,1759, Anna, b. Jan.3,1762, Isaac, b.June 5,1764, Hopestill,b.May 21,1766, Rebecca b. Aug. 1,1769, and William b. Feb. 24,1774. This is new information that is not in my database yet. It came from a published genealogy that I found at the Rhode Island Historical Society entitled,"Squire Buckland of Foster, RI: His ancestors Back to William Hingham Buckland of Hingham, Ma, 1635 and His Descendants" by Hattie B. Cooper written in 1944. She states the source of the above birth dates as from a family record in possesion of Jerimiah K. Bucklin's children. The sites of the old Bucklin homestead and old Ballou homestead are near my home. Squire and Hope are buried behind the Buckland site.
