This is not very much help...but feel there
may be a connection. My gggg grandmother
was MARY BUCKALOO b. 1782 in S. Carolina,d.
1850-1860 & is buried at Latch-Hembree Cematary,near Chatsworth,GA. She m.JOHN LATCH
ABT 1802. They had 5 children. Family tradition has it that she also was Cherokee.
There are many Buckaloos in the Atlanta,GA area.I have been unable to find out anything
more about her. It may be that your Bridgett
family origins are out of S.Carolina/Georgia.
Hope we can find out more about these Buckaloos/Buckelieus!
