Miranda was the wife of James Mitchell.
Her parents were Abner and Emily (Buckland) Grant. they came to Jackson Co, Mi in 1836. they
both died.At age of 15 Hirman Grant was bound out to an Gabriel Hatfield in Eaton Co, MI (born
in Perry, Genesee Co, NY 1822) also has a brother William Grant of Maquoketa, Iowa (died
1888) Miranda Grant wife of James Mitchell of Eaton Co, MI, Emily Grant wife of Benjamin
Jackson of Racine, Wis and an Orson Grant, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Does anyone know this Mitchell and Grant family? I have more on Hiram Grants marriages and
children if someone wants it.
I am trying to tie my Mitchell's to this family. I have a picture which has the name Miranda on it, no
last name. My grandfather was William Grant Mitchell, his father Herod B Mitchell and his Peter
Mitchell
