i have "Bucklands" in south wales in my family tree. The earliest i can find is John Buckland born abt(1782)in glamorgan. To a John and Lucy buckland i believe, but not 100% sure of this. Before this i dont know where the "Bucklands" on my side came from, though have quite a few names since 1782. John Buckland had a son John Buckland born abt(1814) in south wales where some family still live. Could this be same family as yours??
Long shot but worth a try has dont find many from wales lookin for buckland surname.
