She was born: Jan. 2, 1909, Big Creek, W. Va.
and was the daughter of Silas Kade Buckland. Silas was born Dec. 28, 1884 in Summers County, W. Va. He married Ida Mae Talley and died Oct. 28, 1963 in Beckley, W. Va.

Ida mae was born May 23, 1886 and died March 23,1924, Hinton W. Va.

Gladys is said to have been half Indian (probably Blackfoot or Cherokee). She married Norman Berbage Grubb on Dec. 7 of an unknown year. (probably around 1925-26)

Gladys'sister, Nellie Mae Burkland died in 1955 of Cancer and is buried at Coal Run Cemetery, Cunard, W. Va.

Gladys died: July 27, 1956, Oak Hill, W. Va.
She is buried at Coal Run Cemetery in Cunard, W. Va.
