James Buckingham is shown on pg 298 of Leckey's Ten Mile Country as b. 16 Nov 1770 & d. 1 Nov 1781.
However, look at the 1800 census
James Buckingham is in the 1800 Washington Co, PA census
Buckingham, James; Males, 2, under 10; 1, 26-45; Females, 1, under 10; 2, 26-45.
Note 1 line up is Wm Buckingham, probably James' father.

Also, Margaret Cooke & my Mother Ruth Hanneman in 1960 authored the Wm Buckingham Family typescript which was later republished by the IL DAR chapter, (referred to in earlier response).
Amongst other things their work shows that James m. Mary Bonnell and Moved to Baltimore, Md. then moved to Greenbrier County, West Virginia.
per Belle Bonnell Farwell, Terre Haute, Indiana, 1923, gr-daug Hannah Buckingham Bonnell.

They had 6 children:
Jas, Elisha, Mary, Margaret, John & Nathniel

I hope this helps. Please respond as I would like to fill in some of the blanks on what happened to them after they moved to OH/IN and help you with questions I that you may have.
