Mary, Thanks for your reply. As I mentioned, I have only been trying to work on genealogy for a very short period of time, and have not verified anything on my own. I took the informtion from the book "Bryants and Related Families". It stated that Elip was born on February 14, 1868. This evening I went to the cemetery and checked the date (This was my first actual verification for any of the information I have pulled together.) The headstone says 1866. From the information that I have (which may all be wrong) four children, Elip, Mary Emmaline, Elizabeth and William Solomon S. Parks, would all belong to the marriage with Harriet Brown. This book also states that Caroline Maberry was the mother. If you would like to e-mail me I will be happy to share what I have, though you can see, I have done very little at this point. Anita
