My connection to Etta Buchtel is a very interesting (and long) story. Etta Buchtel was the mysterious first wife of my grandfather. It has been alleged (but not proven) that she was the enigmatic Etta Place (an alias) who was the wife/girlfriend of The Sundance Kid.
