I believe I may be the g-g grandson of the Joseph Bucher in your list. My g-g grandfather, Joseph Bucher, appears in the 1880 census at age 38 living at 155 E. 3d St in New York. He was born in Wurtemberg and married Mary Stock, a native of Baden. Their oldest child, Theresa, married George Hof (my g-grandfather) in 1888. Joseph and Mary Bucher had a son named Joseph, (as well as daughters Mary and Bertha) some of whose descendants still, to the best of my knowledge, live in the NY metropolitan area. I would be interested in knowing if any of this is consistent with information held by Lorie and Glenna.
