Dear Carrie:
Nicholas Bucher is my 7th gg-grandfather. I have done a huge amount of research on him and his descendants. I found a reference to he and his family fleeing from Berne, Switzerland and being helped by the Amsterdam Mennonites to pay their ship passage in 1727. I was fascinated to hear that some of his grandsons came later. In addition to Nicholas, Jr., I have brothers: John and Christian, and a daughter who married Christian Mayer. I have got a lot of stuff on Nicholas Bucher, Sr., after his arrival in MD and PA, but would be totally thrilled for any more info on the siblings of Nicholas Jr.
I'm recovering from shoulder surgery, so may be slow in replying. I have my data on PAF and would hope to share info on GEDCOM.
Incidentally, my branch moved from York Co., PA to Clark Co., OH in 1855.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Dominique
