This obituary was transcribed from the Daily Pottstown Ledger of Monday, November 18, 1895 (on page 1). It is on microfilm at the Pottstown Library.
Henry M. Bucher, Pottstown.
Henry M. Bucher died on Sunday morning at his late residence, No. 19 Walnut Street, aged 86 years 3 days. Deceased was a shoemaker by trade and a highly respected citizen. He was thrice married and the following children, all from the first wife, survive: Henry M., Sebastian, John and Lewis Bucher; Sarah, wife of Augustus Bechtel; Kate, wife of John N. Mauger; and Hannah, wife of Henry K. Rhoades. His second wife was the mother of John H. Bickel, Esq. of Norristown, and his third wife, who survives, is mother of Hamilton, Samuel, and Jacob D. Engel of this borough.

The funeral of Henry M. Bucher will be held from his residence, No. 19 Walnut Street, on Thursday, November 21, at 10 o’clock a.m. Services in Trinity Reformed Church and interment at Pottstown Cemetery.
[Note: There is an error in the list of surviving children. Sarah was the wife of John Mauger, and Catherine (Kate)was the wife of Augustus Bechtel.]
