As someone who is researching the Bucher surname, or variations Beacher, Beecher, Bicher, Booker, Booher, etc. you are hereby invited to participate in the Bucher DNA test to determine who your ancestors are.
The test is simple to do – just run brush across the inside of your cheek and mail it back to the DNA lab in a bag they provide. You can learn scientifically who your Bucher ancestor is.
The goal of our Bucher DNA project is:
1. Identify which Bucher lines in the 1700's are related or distinct.
2. Inform you which Bucher line you are descended from.
3. Trace those lines back to the homeland, so you know the original church records of your ancestors in Switzerland, Germany, etc.

Our family has researched our Bücher ancestors for over 30 years, and in honor of our family genealogist who passed away earlier this year, Bruce Franklin Beacher Ph.D., our website now lets everyone access the extensive Bucher research he gathered from church and government records. You can browse a tree with hundreds of Buchers dating back to the 1600's, as we are now adding all the major Bucher families who immigrated to America in the 1700's to our single database. Our hope is that all Bucher researchers will keep the families straight, resulting in more accurate trees appearing online that are based on solid research and sources, rather than speculation.
