*checking the 1900 and 1910 census I did not find a Herman Newman associated with a Albert Newman. I did find for the 1900 census in Fayette County, Iowa, Bethel Township one Herman H. Niemann, age 38, born in Germany, farmer, wife of Sophia Niemann, age 32, born in Iowa, parents born in Germany, with (1) child, a son Albert J. Niemann, born April 1888 age 12, birthplace Iowa.

The 1910 census Herman, age 47 is located in Sumner, Bremer County, Iowa, married a second time to a Lois A. age 29. Albert remained in Fayette County, Iowa, age 22.

I do not know for a fact that I have tracked the correct family, but I feel that I have.
