Christopher Buchacker, Sr., b. 1800, Baden, Germany; d. Feb. 1, 1872; md. Elizabeth Rettner. She was b. 1810. The family came to Potosi, Grant Co., Wis from Heitelberg, Germany in 1846. Children:

<-> John Buchacker, b. abt. 1834; md. May 20, 1860 to Grant Co., Wis., to Elizabeth Trottman.
<-> Elizabeth Buchacker, b. Oct. 30, 1835, Heitelberg, Germany; d. June 8, 1928. She md. (1) John Bernard Grosser, Aug. 15, 1854, Grant Co. He was b. in Germany; d. Feb. 9, 1868, Potosi. Elizabeth md (2) John Ostermeier, June 7, 1870. Children of Elizabeth and John Grosser: Lizzie, John, Bernard and Daniel. Children of Elizabeth and John Ostermeier: Cora, Anna and Joseph.
