Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Marissa - We have something in common; my mother was also born a Bua. I've traced my family back to 1792 in Trabia, Sicily, Italy. I'm not aware of a "Bua Island". Bua is a name that can be traced back to Albania. A military leader named Pietro Bua and his platoon of men were one of the first settlers on Sicily. E-mail me at bpitta@comcast.net for more discussion.
