There is an affidavit Susan Bryant gave stating this:

Susan Bryant Blankenship, Second Person: Thomas V. Adams, Notary Public (Bryant Station, Texas, 5 April 1911
ABBR Blankenship, Susan B, Affidavi), Susan Blankenship chose to give her sworn affidavit concerning the events surrounding the division of her father's estate, because she was one of the last surviving participants, and "in the course of time these events will be forgotten."

I am descended from Sam Houston Bryant who was an older brother of Rebecca.
