This is what I have William Reuben Briant/Bryant and I first located his Pension number which means that he did serve in the Rev. War.

We are referring to:

Reuben Briant (data listed is under this spelling)
B. Va ca 1767
D. SC 15 May 1863/may have died in the Spartanburg, SC area

His Ancester# is listed as: A 114490
His member # is listed as: 683528
His Pension # is listed as: S.39220

His first wife is noted as being: Nancy Tolleson/B: S.C. 1770 - D. S.C. 24 July 1820

Spartanburg, SC
