Can anyone share information about Elizabeth Crittenden, born ca. 1803 in NC, died after 1882 in Murray Co. GA. Her name appears with variants Betsy, Crittendon, etc. Supposedly she is Elizabeth Bryant, dau. of John Wellington Bryant and Mary Jane Morris. She is enumerated in the US census of Murray Co. GA in 1850 with a Charles T. Crittendon b. ca. 1827 in TN. In 1870 and 1880 she is in the household of her sister and brother-in-law, Nancy Bryant Wheat and Drury (Drewry) Wheat. After Nancy’s death, Betsy Critendon married Drury Wheat in April 1882. Who was Elizabeth Crittenden’s first husband? Was Charles T. Crittendon her son? Are these Crittendens related to others of that name in Polk or McMinn Co. TN? Is she buried with Drury and Nancy Wheat in Murray Co. GA? Thank you for any information.
