William Bryant 1830 Oglethorpe, 1840 Gwinnett

There is a William Bryant, 30-39, wife, 20-29 on the 1830 Oglethorpe, GA census. There is a William Bryant, 40-49, wife, 30-39 on the 1840 Gwinnett, GA census. I would like to know if these two are the same William.
I have looked through the GA 1850 census and have not found a William Bryant or a widow Bryant of the right age. Does anyone out there know about these families? Any clues would be appreciated.
