Looking for Louis Bryant(1798) of North Carolina

I found Louis Bryant (1798-1850's) from North Carolina in the 1850 Federal Census for Jackson County, Alabama. District 1, Precinct 19. Married to Lucinda(1800) North Carolina. Can anyone find anything to collaberate this? And find out who his father was? His son was Jasper Calaway Bryant(1824-1895) from Jackson Co. Alabama.. I was told by others that his father was John Lewis Bryant(1751-1825) but finding Louis and Lucinda from the same town as Jasper, and living close by, I believe they were wrong.
