Hi Peggy, I'd love to e-mail you direcgt but don't see your e-mail anywhere, even though you say it is not private. Where is it listed? My grandfather, David Craig Bryant, b. 1892 in Whitley Co, KY, left a list of the male Bryant's going back to the first Bryant over here in 1728. Interesting story about how James Cromwell Bryant was shangaied over here from London. Grandpa David Craig Bryant read about it in the old family Bible and Diary that a g.g. Uncle of his had in Whitley in 1915. Family came via TN. Our family is trying to validate the letter. We have done DNA testing on 9 Bryant families and we match to 5. One we match is for Howel H. Bryant who is living in Jackson, TN at the same time as your James. We also have "clues" to other Jackson and Putnam TN Bryant's. We have a Bryant website dedicated to the purpose of linking up our Bryants and the trail has led us to Putnam and Jackson. And, to MO. So much to tell and I think somehow your James might be related to our family. A distinct possibility. Jackie
