I am looking for ancestors of James Bryant b. abt 1787 VA and Jane GENTRY b ? NC
James was in White Co TN in 1840 census. 1850 Jackson Co Census with children . Jane had apparently died before 1850. In 1860 James age 73 and family are in Putnam Co TN. James died in Putnam Co TN. Do not know burial place of either.
James and Jane GENTRY BRYANT/BRIANT/BRYAN
Jane and James had 6 children.
Rebecca b. abt. 1816, John b. abt. 1823, Martha b. abt. 1831, Jordan b. abt. 1835, Clayborn b. 2 Jan 1829 and Anna/Anne b. abt. 1819. All children born in TN. Jordan and John died during the Civil War (Union) and are buried in the Nashville National Cemetery in TN.
Rebecca Bryant m. Samuel Houston MARTIn on 2 Nov 1839 in White Co TN. Samuel and Rebecca are my gg-grandparents.Other families married Bryant sons.
