I am looking for info on a Lewis Bryen, Bryan, or Brian, who died about 1676 in Baltimore Co MD. He appointed his grand daughter, Elizabeth Bowing (Bowen) his executrix and sole legatee. He appointed her father, Jonas Bowen, as overseer. It was Jonas Bowen who handled the estate, with the help of Nicholas Corbin. Elizabeth Bowing got, among other things, 100 acres called "Brian's Forest".
Within a year or two, Elizabeth Bowen married, to a James Robinson. They had two sons, James Jr. and Jonas. Elizabeth survived James Robinson, per his Will in Baltimore Co MD 1695, but was deceased by 1699, when Jonas Bowen Sr. made his Will. This Will mentions 100 acres, being used by Jonas Bowen Jr, but held for grandson James Robinson when he came of age.
In 1702, Martha (Henchman) Bowen, widow of Jonas Bowen, made her Will. She left something to Jonas Robinson (I hear it was a cow!), but nothing to James. I think James Robinson Jr was of age by then (his father's Will specified age 18).
I believe I descend from James Robinson Jr, thus I also descend from Lewis Bryen. Any leads appreciated!
