Julia,
I wouild love to have any info you are willing to share. The info I have is spotty at best. I have been to Franklin County, Georgia one time. Also, I visited DeKalb County, Alabama, which my line of Bryans migrated to shortly after 1850 (also Jackson County, Alabama). Have you run across any references to a Preston Bryan? He was in Georgia before showing up in DeKalb County. He lived near the county seat (Lebanon) where my GGGGrandfather Joel Bryan filed Civil War Claims for two other sons that died in the CW (Isham G. Bryan & William J. Bryan). I plan to return to Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama in the near future. My first visit wasn't very productive because I was a rookie and didn't know much. Anyway, I would appreciate any help you can give, and would be glad to share anything I have. I would also like to cover any costs associated with providing the info. Just tell me how you want to do this and I will do it. E-mail the details using the address listed and we can proceed from there. Thanks.
Bryan
