I have the following children for James & Elizabeth Bruton (I have not found her maiden name, yet)
Samuel - born about 1770 in SC, died after 1821
John - born about 1772 in SC and died before 1816
Abigail - born 1788 in SC, died after 1816 in Calloway, MO, married John Yount about 1815
Jacob - born 1771 in SC, died 1851 in Tate Co, MS, married twice (1) Elizabeth (maybe Wray or Ray)
Children: John born 1793 in SC, died 1857 in Johnson, AR, married Ann Wilson abt. 1811
James born 1796 in Grainger, TN died abt 1862 in Gum Log Twp, Pope, AR, married (1) Sarah Angel in DeSoto, MS (2) Louisa Jaren 08/14/1857 in Pope, AR
Mary "Polly" born abt. 1800, died aft 1851
Sally born abt. 1802 in KY, died 1852 in Washington AR, married John Williams abt. 1825
Samuel born about 1812 in KY (my husband's gggrandfather) died abt. 1891 in Houston Co, TX, married 15 Feb 1833 to Susan E. Cumby in Madison, AL had children: James W, Charles P, Mary J, John David, Samuel T and Alice C.
Rebecca born abt. 1816 in AL died aft Jan 1859, married John W. Mason 1834 in Madison, AL
I have more on the descendants of Jacob Bruton including his second marriage and the five children of that marriage. My husband is descended from Samuel to John David, to his son John Thomas to his daughter Syble (My husband's mom). If you would like to have any more of this info, please let me know.
