Yes, my Uncle Norman is Norman Earle Bruorton....son of Charles Norman Bruorton of Vermont. I have been in contact with a gentlemen by the name of John Bruorton, who lives out here in California. We have not been able to find where our family lines cross, but he has done extensive research on the Bruorton-Bruerton-Brereton lines in England. He is originally from England and came to the States around the 1950's or 1960's. Quite a bit of his research is dealing with the Carolina Bruortons. I did run across a paper that he had written "Lineage of Brereton-Bruerton-Bruorton". There are many interesting facts. I can send you a copy of that if you would like. Just let me know via my e-mail address, and I will get it to you.

I do have a question regarding my John Bruorton (1779-1841) and your George Bruorton. You said that they were brothers? Do you happen to know the names of their parents. Norman Earle Bruorton only has specifics on my line back to John Bruorton, who was born in Worcetershire, England.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
New England Bruortons,
