Perhaps we are connected. My grgrandfather John Brunty b. 19 Dec 1855 has Robert Brunty and Emerzetta listed as father and mother on his death certificate. He died 7 Jan. 1926. I found. Robert and Embersetta (I think this is the actual correct spelling) on the 1850 Census in Clinton, KY with their first child James at age 1. The next census I find them in isn't until 1880 in Lake Creek,Williamson, IL. There Joseph is listed as age 23. James if still living and John (my grgrandfather) were already out of the home. I believe it is likely that Robert and Embersetta would have died in the Illinois area. The remainder of our Brunty line is clearly linked to IL. Robert and Embersetta are my first established connection to KY. Robert lists his parents as from KY on census and Embersetta lists her parents from VA. I believe her parents were Robert and Nancy both listed on the 1850 KY census with them. Please let me know if you can confirm or add any further specifics???
