John Brunton and Maria Frances Langley were my great great grandparents through their daughter Frances Ethel Brunton b. 1886 in Wade, presumably Robert Langley Bruntons' sister? I was unaware of any details of John Bruntons' ancestry until I saw your post, but I have since seen a family tree which backs up your information, and adds that William Bruntons' parents were Robert Brunton b. 1676 d. 1708 married to Dorothea Gray in 1772. There is also an article on Wikipedia about William Brunton who was an inventor, sounds like he was Robert Bruntons' brother. I'm still not certain of my details but hopefully I am on the right track. Hope this helps.
