Hi Ainsley,

I do not know if my information will be any help. But, the New Zealand connection re: similar timing seemed interesting.

My Brunton connection:

Isabella Brunton married Alexander McLaren on 6/6/1845 at St. Cuthberts, Edinburgh, Scotland.
There son James McLaren was born 20/10/1858 at Milton, Glasgow, Scotland. He emmigrated to New Zealand and married Sarah Jane Rowney on 30/12/1881 at Maniototo, Otago, New Zealand.
I am not sure of the other siblings.
