Richard BRUNT, NC & Sumter Co., GA
My husband is a JOINER descendant, and I'm curious about the relationship between the Richard BRUNT family and the Lewis JOINER family, i.e., friends or relatives?Richard BRUNT was from NC and d. 1846 in Sumter Co., GA.His will named his wife, his son Lewis, and his son-in-law Valentine McKINNEY; executor was son Lewis; witnesses were Lewis JOINER and Robert T. HAMES (a son-in-law of Lewis JOINER).Lewis P. Brunt d. in 1855 in Sumter Co., and his will named his mother Sarah and his sons Allen H. and Richard G.; executors were M. F. ALBRITTON (a son-in-law of Lewis JOINER) and Joab W. C. Horne; witnesses were Charles S. BURLEY, John JOINER, and Robert T. HAMES.The 1850 Sumter, GA census has Lewis P. BRUNT, age 37, farmer, b. NC; Allen H. BRUNT, age 14, b. GA; Richard BRUNT, age 7, b. GA; and Sarah BRUNT, age 60, b. NC. Am wondering if Sarah BRUNT could have been a sister to Lewis JOINER.Any info appreciated.
