Hi Carolyn,
I don't have a lot of detail on Daniel who mar'd Sarah Mellett. I know he was born abt 1730/35 in SC, and I have his Brunson ancestry back to 1550. Have names of his children in addition to Isaac (b. abt 1755). The records of Trigg Co. KY show Enos and Teresa mar'd there in 1819. I don't know when Teresa was born, but Isaac came to Stewart Co abt 1803/04 from Edgefield, SC.
In 1826, when Isaac (then Sr) estate was divided up, a portion was given to each of the 7 children of Isaac Jr(1755). He had died about 1818, in Stewart Co. He had 3 underage children at the time, and Erwin McKinney was appointed guardian of Jane, Kisiah, and David. I think David was the youngest, as he was b. 1812, and apparently never mar'd. Court records show Jane mar'd Elkana Cox, brother of Enos.
The 6 children you list are the same as I have, which leaves one unidentified. The only clue I have is a quit claim deed in 1823. Moses Brunson Jr. purchased 500 acres of Isaac Sr. land. (Isaac died in 1821). Several heirs of Isaac signed that deed, including Enos Cox and one James Jackson. My thought is that Jackson may have also been a son in law of Isaac, and married to an unidentified daughter.
I am also looking for info on Emanuel Cox, son of Elisha, and nephew of Enos and Elkana. In 1837, Emanuel mar'd one of my Biggs family in Calloway Co. KY, Elizabeth Biggs.
Some other Cox researchers say they went to Illinois abt 1850, and there till their death, but I have found no documentation of them later than their marriage.
Hope this is some help. Mike Brunson
