Barbara Brunson Crosser 10/01/01
Barbara:In early June, 2001 (searching for Patch family
roots), I incidentally photographed an 'old' headstone leaning against a magnificent tree in the Patch Grove, WI
cemetery.All that I can read of the inscription is this -
ELIZABETH ....Wife of ....HIRAM BRONSON....DIED.......
Feb.8, 1868.....aged 73 Years .......; the bottom half
has more lettering that I did not pay attention to at the
time.Close by is another stone monument memorializing
my grgrgr grandfather and his 2 wives.On one side, below
a Masonic insignia, it reads ( on 5 lines): HENRY PATCH,..
..DIED ... Jan. 2, 1867; ... AGED ....63 y's,8 mo.22d's.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On another side, is the inscription:EMILY C. ......
wife of .....Henry Patch ......DIED ........March 14, 1856,
.....AGED ......55 y's, 2 mo. 11 d's.Love from Lana
