I am searching for information on the children of: Johann Wilhel Brunner (John William) and spouse Rosina Anna Christine Lahr. The child I am looking for we know as Karl Christian Brunner, but it seems he used Charles Karl Christian Brunner. and is found in the 1850 Census as "Charly", aged 7. Civil War I believe this to be the same person: 4th Michigan Infantry Name County Age Brunner, Charles Monroe Co. 19 Brunner, Charles. Monroe County. Enlisted June 20th, 1861, at Adrian, for 3 years, age 19. Mustered June 20th, 1861. Corporal. Died May 7th, 1864, of wounds received in action at the Wilderness, Va., May 5th, 1864. Civil War Service Records Record about Charles Brunner Name: Charles Brunner Company: A Unit: 4 Michigan Infantry. (1st Organization.) Rank - Induction: Private Rank - Discharge: Private Allegiance: Union Notes: Bruner Charles. Fought on 03 June 1864 at Bethesda Church, VA >. Fought on 03 June 1864 at Near Richmond, VA. Fought on 03 June 1864 at Richmond, VA. Fought on 04 June 1864. Fought on 05 June 1864. (Charles is shot this day) 07 June 1864. ( And died this day) There is some confusion in the name, and I would like to work on streightening it out. Fingers crossed that this is the same person.
