Jefferson Bruner was born on December 9, 1818 in Jessamine County and later moved to Logan County, Illinois where he died July 13, 1868 according to family records. He was the sone of David and Nancy Bruner - his siblings included Andrew, Peter, Lucinda, Maryann, Jordan, Elizabeth, Nancy II, David, II, Sophia, Francis M., William D. and Joseph.
