I am very interested in your information about
William Elliott Bruner. I am from a John &
Temperance Bruner. We find them in Wilkinson Co GA in ABT 1812.
They are members of Myrtle Springs Baptist Church which
was organized in 1812 by Charles Culpepper. The best
that we can tell John was born in Abt 1765. We could be
off a little because he died 10 Oct 1820 in Jackson Co MS.
We believe that John may well be a brother to the
George that you have mentioned.
George's Bible information can be found at:
http://www.netpathway.com/wbuckley/
Look at "Family Bibles & Wills Page"
& then "George Bruner SC/AL"
George died in Lowndes Co Al. After the Civil
War some of his clan moved to Navarro Co TX. Many of
them are buried right out of a little place called
Frost TX.
I have made contact with one person from this clan.
He told me that he has an Aunt that is into genealogy
but he could not remember her phone # or address at
the time. He said that he would give her my name, but
I have not heard from her.
We are not sure where my John is from since he died
so early. The only census that we have with him
on it is the 1820 one and it just gives an age range.
Temperance _____, his wife, died AFT 1845 in Tusc Co
AL.
Thanks for the information. I hope this helps you
some.
