Sorry Bill. Some of the names were the same. But my were from the 1860's. Jakob Brunner (b.1835 d.1898) married in 1860 to Lucia Schmocker (b.1833 d.1904). Their childrens names were Jakob Jr. (b.1861), John (b.1863), Matthew (b.1866){my great, great grandfather}, Margaret (b.1868 and married Fred Waldhart 1885), Frederic (b.1872), and Christian (b.1876). Jakob and Lucia were from Oberried, Canton Bern,
Switzerland and arrived in the frontier settlement of Stetsonville, WI in the spring of 1883. I wish we could buy land like Jakob did in 1883, he paid $920 for 160 acres of land.
My information came from "The Brunner Road", A book done up by some of the family in 1979 for a family reunion we had.
