My Brunner's lived in Covington, KY before 1855. They then moved to St. Louis. My GG-Grandmother Elizabeth married John H. Blase and they moved to Dakota County, Minnesota in 1855. Family Legend said they were from Alsace-Lorraine, though I haven't proved that. Many signs point in that direction. Elizabeth's father and Mother were: Franciscus and Magdalena Brunner. Here siblings were: August, Franciscus, Magdalena, Ursula. Can we be of help to one another? I would love to share info with you or anyone who could help.
