My ggrandmother was Millissa Druzella Bruner who married John Henry Peddicord at Hope, Indiana, on 8/16/1877. Their first child was my ggrandmother, Druzella Maud Peddicord born June 6, 1878 at Hope, Indiana. Druzella later married Harvey Bledsoe, who may have been Moravian. Mellissa and John were both Moravian. John's mother was purported to be North Carolina Cherokee who was also Moravian. (I still have no info re John Henry's parents i.e. names, dates etc.) I have a family picture of the Peddicord children in the late 1800s. They were Druzella Maud (6/6/1878); Mary Eliza (3/27/1880); Grace (4/3/1883) stillborn; my wonderful aunt Elsie Sarah [Loop](4/25/1884); Charley (3/24/1888-@'90), my uncle Roy Thomas (3/29/1890) who fought in WWI; Emma Ruth (8/29/93); and Charlotte "Lottie" Albertina (7/9/1897 - 1911). both John Henry and Mellissa Druzella are buried in Rock Island, Texas.
I hope that you might have access to important records from Hope to confirm some of this information.
